Every year, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation (MCN) Scholarship Pageant kicks off the annual celebration of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribe and her people, better known as the "Creek Festival".
The MCN Scholarship Pageant is a time for young Mvskoke ladies, ages 14-24, who have a desire to be an ambassador for their tribe, to come together and compete for the honor of Miss or Jr. Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
To help prepare the young Mvskoke ladies for the "big night", a mandatory Royalty Retreat is held for all the contestants. The retreat is typically scheduled a month before the pageant takes place. During the retreat, the ladies will partake
in a variety of activities that will be crucial in helping them become pageant ready.
The Pageant is a night of pure Mvskoke talent. Contestants from all over showcase what it means to be a Mvskoke woman. The judges usually have a very hard job trying to pick just one, but it's made easier by a scoring system. The girls are judged and scored based on multiple things including an interview, traditional dress, presentation, and an impromptu question.
After the Pageant, the two winners will continue on a year long journey of discovery, learning, and leading. Think you're ready to take that journey? See below for more information about how to make that dream, a reality!

Royalty Retreat
The Royalty Retreat is a weekend for our contestants to get to know one another, take part in a makeup & photo shoot session, and ask past royalty for tips and questions about what to expect during the pageant and their reign. This will also be an opportunity to rehearse stage presence and Royalty etiquette. The MCN Scholarship Pageant organizes this event to prepare all of our contestants to be the next Miss or Jr. Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
